Many of you will have heard that, after 17-years with us, Sophie Alexander has decided to move on from her position as CEO of Ipswich Central in April. I want to take this opportunity to thank her for her years of service to improving our town and to wish her well for the future.
Meanwhile Paul Clement, the CEO of Locus who has spent the last couple of years developing our external advisory arm, Locus Place, has expressed a desire to step back from front-line executive tasks so that he can concentrate solely upon our partnership management, new acquisitions, and technical advice.
Therefore, the Locus Board has today commenced the search for an experienced individual capable of taking on the leadership of the Ipswich Central BID whilst also overseeing management of Locus Place.
Following Sophie’s departure and until our recruitment process is complete, Paul will provide continuity by temporarily supervising the Ipswich Central team. In readiness for the new appointment, Paul and Sophie both stepped down as Locus Directors last week. Paul will continue to attend our Board meetings, particularly in the interim period.
I will update on progress with recruitment as soon as possible and, in the meantime, keep an eye out for the candidates’ pack which will be available within the next few days.
