New Communications Manager...

Melanie Willis has joined Ipswich Central as our Communications Manager.

Melanie will be working on the promotion of Ipswich Central news and project development, the All About Ipswich website and Wolsey 550 project this year.

“As someone born, raised and living in Ipswich I know the town extremely well,” she said.

“I bring lots of experience in public relations, customer service and project communications and I look forward to using these skills to enhance Ipswich Central’s work in the town. I love Ipswich, it’s a great place to live and work so will enjoy working to enhance the town for the benefit of our members.”

Terry Baxter, Chair of Ipswich Central, adds: “Melanie has a huge passion for promoting the town centre and joins us from the Ipswich Borough Council communications team, so she knows the local area and its priorities very well with economic development and Town’s Deal aspects of the council’s work.”

“Along with our commitment to shining a spotlight on the members Ipswich Central represents, we are delighted to be progressing the Digital Ipswich project in the town centre as part of the Towns Deal funding, and the Ipswich Central initiated “Wolsey 550” project celebration planned this summer. These major projects are part of our commitment to getting more people into our town centre for longer, so it’s a really exciting time for Melanie to join the team.”
