BID and Council commit to joint business grants initiative.

Ipswich Central and Ipswich Borough Council commit to business grants initiative.

At the start of the COVID-19 crisis, government announced an unprecedented financial support package for businesses. So far, Ipswich Borough Council have paid out over £19 million in grants to Ipswich businesses.

But some remains unclaimed.

Today, Ipswich Central and Ipswich Borough Council have announced a joint initiative to ensure that those businesses who have not yet claimed are contacted and encouraged to do so.

Street Rangers will be visiting every eligible property, business owners will be contacted, social media communications will further highlight the scheme – every possible effort will be made to ensure that any business due a grant receives it.

Our CEO, Paul Clement, says: "I have committed to Ipswich Borough Council that, alongside the excellent work that they continue to undertake to support our business community, we will commit all of our resources to assisting them on this project. As we start to think about a careful and planned lifting of restrictions in the town centre, we need to ensure that businesses have every penny available to them to assist them in this recovery."

If you think you or your business may be eligible, send us an email: info@ipswichcentral.co.uk
