Details about Ranelagh Road Closure and Diversion Route

Suffolk Highways are progressing with improvements to the station forecourt. Download the info leaflet here. The outcomes of this scheme include:
  • new layout
  • improved customer experience
  • improved environment
  • better accessibility for buses and taxis
  • improved pedestrian and cycle access
  • road resurfacing
  • new short stay and drop off parking areas
The next phase of the work starts on 20 February 2017 and will continue for 10 weeks in total. The works include:
  • replacing traffic lights
  • upgrading street lighting
  • National Grid gas main works
  • new bus and taxi shelters
  • replacing road markings and signs on all three approaches to the station
  • resurfacing of the station forecourt area - bus and taxi lanes
To carry out these works nearby roads will need to be closed from 20 February to 9 April as a 24 hour closure.
