Ipswich Waterfront Innovation Centre (IWIC) has been opened by the University of Suffolk to foster growth and innovation among the region’s burgeoning tech sector, alongside student enterprise initiatives.
The IWIC is housed within the University’s Atrium building which has undergone a £5.5m refurbishment, with a £1.85m award through New Anglia LEP’s Growth Deal with the Government. The University is developing its STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) provision and now offers the latest technologies and start-up innovation spaces on the Ipswich Waterfront.
Suffolk SMEs can get a free business review with innovation experts and academic advice on developing new products and services and access to grants through the Innovation Bridge project.
