The Ipswich Star reported today that the Shotley Peninsula Tourist Action Group (TAG) had launched a series of events to take place over the next few months and will mark 50 years since the death of Arthur Ransome, the author who wrote 'We Didn't Mean To Go To Sea' and 'Swallows and Amazons'.
The first event is on 13th May and is The Pin Mill Arthur Ransome Jamboree - a collective of events including a vintage cinema.
