TERRY BAXTER
Chairman and Director

Terry Baxter took the role as Ipswich Central Chairman in September 2013. He brings to the role an extensive knowledge of Ipswich and an enthusiasm and drive to take the Vision for the town forward and help it reach its potentialTerry is also the chief executive of an independently funded education support charity, Inspire Suffolk. The charity specialises in working with young people aged 16 – 24 who are not in employment, education or training (NEET) and helps progress them into education opportunities build work readiness skills or place them into a job. An experienced broadcaster and journalist, Terry formerly hosted the flagship, all-speech breakfast programme for BBC Radio Suffolk. He is often employed as an event ‘host’ and ‘facilitator’. Since 2007 Terry has been a Fellow of Suffolk New College and in 2015 was granted an Honorary Fellowship of University Campus Suffolk (now the University of Suffolk).

The Street Ranger Team

Alex, Kyle, Geri and David all have an extensive knowledge of Ipswich town centre as a place, and also the people that live and work here. Their job is hugely varied and every day is different and can include managing graffiti removal, first aid incidents, shoplifter exclusions and visitor guidance.
