20 March 2015
by Paul Clement
Following on from its 2013/14 X-Fund win, its great to announce that Ipswich Central has also been granted further funding to support delivery of the Ipswich vision via The Greater Ipswich Partnership.
The Greater Ipswich Partnership has been selected as one of 12 recipients identified by DCLG to receive funding and support, as part of the Government’s ‘Coastal Community Teams’ initiative.
The partnership comprises organisations from both the private and public sectors who are committed to achieve its ambition of Ipswich being represented as East Anglia’s premier waterfront town. Members include Ipswich Central (BID), Suffolk County Council, Ipswich Borough Council, Mid Suffolk, Babergh and Suffolk Coastal District Councils, Ipswich Chamber of Commerce, University Campus Suffolk, representatives from the health sector, IT & Communications and New Anglia LEP.
Along with each being awarded £10,000 to kick-start work, the teams will also be able to bid for a share of the new £3m revival fund. It shows that partnership working pays off and we are looking forward to taking the Vision further forward with our partners.
