Get involved in the ABP charity cycling day

ABP Ipswich is calling on local businesses to help support a special day of cycling events to raise money for the Mayor’s charities on 24th August.

As part of the event, which is organised in partnership with Ipswich Borough Council and Elmy Cycles, a series of cycling challenges will be held at the Port of Ipswich. The cycling day will give local businesses the chance to play an active role in raising funds to support local charities and give back to the Suffolk Community.

The open day will take place in Old Custom House (OCH) and will feature a series of instructor-led, indoor cycling classes for participating  businesses. Members of the public will also be invited to try out sprint challenges on static bikes positioned outside the OCH entrance.

A highlight during the cycling day will be a VIP challenge with the Mayor of Ipswich, Sarah Barber, who is passionate about improving opportunities for the town’s most vulnerable people. The Mayor’s nominated charities this year are FIND – Families in Need, Lighthouse Women’s Aid and The Ipswich Hospital Charity.

If you are a local business or individual and would like to get involved, please email Katrina Jay for more details. Deadline for registrations is Monday 21 August.
