The vision is about Turning our Town Around - connecting the retail heart of the town to the waterfront area.
These connections need to be made historically, physically and emotionally.
The emotional connection needs to give people reasons to believe we are East Anglia's Waterfront Town Centre.
The values behind the vision will be communicated via the town brand; All About Ipswich via an exciting integrated marketing campaign for 2014.
As key transition areas the Blackfriars and The Saints will receive some of the Xfund money to further enhance them and increase awareness of their own individual qualities.
The Xfund will allow us to provide market stall infrastructure to activate the brand on the street and bring lively markets to the transition areas.
A free All About Ipswich Saturday shuttle bus will physically enable people to move between the town and waterfront areas.
The Xfund will provide money for Ipswich to create a suite of iconic images to promote the town, a suite of videos showcasing Ipswich at its best. This will combine with targeted print and online media.
As well as a general awareness campaign, the BID will use Xfund money to extend existing marketing projects such as the successful Celebrate Ipswich Festival including Maritime.
With our history playing a major role in the vision, the BID will provide a Heritage campaign.
As Suffolk's county town, the BID will provide a Food and Drink Forknight in conjunction with Ipswich Borough Council and extend the marketing with Xfund money.
Although not Xfunded, the Celebrate your Independents campaign will be another highlight in the All About Ipswich calendar and a reason to engage with the brand and the place.
And the final big promotional activity of the year - an all encompassing Christmas campaign inviting people to enjoy Ipswich during the festive season.
Ipswich has a strong evening economy and is working with partners to provide a full marketing campaign for Best Bar None accredited premises, highlighting the great places to enjoy in Ipswich during the evening.
We will also provide, in conjunction with Ipswich Borough Council, an interactive online prospectus for all aspects of the town which again showcases the best of Ipswich and enables the reader to tailor information to their own preferences.
