From Friday 10th December, the legal requirement to wear face masks is extended to most public indoor venues including theatres, cinemas and places of worship. Wearing a mask in hospitality venues, such as pubs and restaurants, remains encouraged however is not a legal requirement; where it is not practical when eating or drinking.
Working from home
From Monday 13th December, the Government encourages businesses to allow employees to work from home if they can.
From Wednesday 15th December, an NHS COVID Pass will be required to enter nightclubs and venues with large crowds including:
- unseated indoor venues with more than 500 people
- unseated outdoor venues from more than 4,000 people
- and any venue with more than 10,000 people.
An NHS COVID Pass can be obtained with proof of two doses of a COVID vaccine. This will be reviewed as boosters are rolled out.
