What is the Ipswich Vision?
Ipswich Vision is a partnership of key Ipswich stakeholders as shown below who have agreed to deliver a single Vision to create the successful county town centre which Ipswich and Suffolk expect and deserve through supporting:
- Better transport
- Better shopping
- Improvements to public spaces and public buildings
We all think that Ipswich has the potential to be a very special kind of place. Perceptions of the town are not what they should be. Yet, visitors to the town and newcomers alike continue to be surprised by its combined offer and, most of all, its potential.
That is why we have come together to produce this shared Vision for Suffolk’s county town. To view the current list of priorities click here.
As of June 2017 the following projects have been delivered or started:
- The construction of a new Crown Street Car Park is underway and due for completion by the end of 2017
- The renovation of Ipswich Station and the forecourt is now complete
- The construction of the Innovation Centre at the University of Suffolk is complete
Over the next few months the Vision Board will be reviewing the current list of priorities, it is hoped by the autumn 2017 to unveil a new website dedicated to the Vision and its objectives both current and for the future.
